Liverwort-Marchantia polymorpha201 viewsThis could easily be in the cultivated plant section as it is very often in a pot of a plant sold at garden centres, it loves over watering

near Pen-y-groeson North Wales201 viewsJuly 2008. There was some amazing clouds that night and an hour or two after this there was a mighty storm which may have been brewing to produce the nice sunset skies.

Baby Ravens200 viewsI am pretty certain I have counted five babies in this nest. They are not much like babies now though they are fully grown and very nearly ready to fly. The picture is not anything like good one as my 300mm does not work properly at distance(not a good habit for a telephoto lens!) so it is more a record shot. While I watched this the nest was mobbed by a pair of peregrines and later the adult ravens flew out to mobb a buzzard who dared fly over, both these encounters were very noisy and exciting
